The Kingdom of Bhutan's cautious approach to tourism means that there are a limited number of hotels in Bhutan and each of these must be approved by the Department of Tourism. Wangchuk Hotel Mongar is the finest hotel in Mongar town, fairly a new hotel opened only in 2007. Like other sister properties the Wangchuk Hotel Mongar also features traditional Bhutanese design with modern comfortable accommodation amenities.
